5 Days Cairo Luxor Alexandria
Get a short briefing about the marvelous Ancient Egyptian Civilization in both Cairo the current and modern Capital, see the pyramids of Giza and The Egyptian museum of antiquities, in addition to Luxor the Capital of the ancient Egyptian Civilization with its huge temples rich history and mysterious Tombs. Then you will take a day tour at “The pearl of the Mediterranean” Alexandria where you will witness on the Greco-Roman Civilization throughout the city.
Your Hotel
Upon arrival Cairo Airport, our representative will meet and assist you crossing the customs hall, then transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight.
Around 08:00 am, you will be picked by a Tour Guide in private air conditioned vehicle to explore one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Visit the impressive 3 Pyramids of Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure which are guarded by the rock-cut statue (The Sphinx) a large half-human, half-lion statue. The Great Pyramid of King Cheops is the only standing wonder from the ancient world, although it is 2,000 years older than any other wonder on the list.
Then you will proceed to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranges from Pre-dynastic era, Pharonic era to the Greco-roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, which is one of the most important collections as his tomb was discovered intact with no robberies.
Then visit the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the hanging church or the suspended church this basilica church was named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon the church became the center of the Christian Church of Egypt you will visit also the famous Jewish heritage in Cairo including Ben Ezra Synagogue the temple contains a Jewish heritage library, containing documents found here in 1896 that describe the economic and social conditions of Jews under Arab rule as well as descriptions of relations between various Jewish sects.
Then you will be picked up to your hotel to stay overnight.
Upon arrival Luxor airport, will be picked up by our tour guide to visit archaeological sites of the ancient Egyptians on the west bank of the Nile including the Two Colossal Statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon), and then visit the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs discovered, those tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs, you will visit 3 tombs. Continue the tour to visit the Hatshepsut temple at El Deir El Bahary, this impressive temple dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut the only female pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it.
Then heading to visit the two Massive temples on the Eastern bank of the Nile, visit the Temple of Luxor and Temple of Karnak. Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means the most sacred of places. The temple, or, more correctly, the complex of temples, was built over more than two thousand years by generation after generation of pharaohs. Within the complex, the great Hypostyle Hall is an incredible forest of giant pillars. Then you will be transferred to the majestic Luxor temple which built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the god Amun god of the Air, the Sun, and the Sky.
After finishing the tour, you will be transferred to Luxor airport for flight back Cairo, upon arrival to Cairo you will be picked up to your hotel and overnight Cairo.
Breakfasts at hotel, then around 07:00 am meet your guide and head north towards Alexandria, Egypt’s second capital to discover the beauty of the Greco Roman civilization.
Will start our tour by visiting Catacombs which considered one of the Seven Wonders of the middle age, It’s the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt, with three tiers of tombs that could accommodate up to 300 corpses. The cemetery originally was dug to be a private cemetery for one family, then it was converted to be a public cemetery the architecture of the tombs mirrors Greco-Roman styles.
After finish our first visit in Alexander the Great city, will Visit Qaitbay Citadel, the 15th -century defensive fortress located on the Mediterranean Sea coast. The Citadel is situated at the entrance of the eastern harbor on the eastern point of the Pharos Island. It was erected on the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Then we will visit the Library “Bibliotheca” of Alexandria, Located near the site of the ancient library of Alexandria, this modern version is an eleven-story, cylindrical-shaped building that houses more than eight million books. A re-imagining of Alexandria’s ancient Great Library, this gorgeously designed cultural center contains a host of museums as well as one of the modern world’s most ambitious libraries. Its architecture – a giant sun disk – presides over the waterfront Corniche, while inside, a huge reading room can hold eight million volumes. Below the main library, visitors can explore a range of beautifully curated exhibitions. The Manuscript Museum with its magnificent collection of ancient texts and scrolls and the Antiquities Museum with its Graeco-Roman antiquities and statuary found during underwater exploration in the harbor are the two prime attractions. But there are also rotating art exhibitions, a permanent Egyptian folk art collection, and a Science Museum and Planetarium that are aimed squarely at children. Then Drive back to Cairo and overnight.
Breakfast at your hotel, check-out then you will be transferred to Cairo airport for flight back home.
