Nile Cruises & Dahabiyas
Sail the Nile the way travelers have for thousands of years. Our Nile cruises and Dahabiya journeys connect Luxor and Aswan with visits to Edfu, Kom Ombo, Philae and the Valley of the Kings, and our Lake Nasser cruise takes you south to the temples of Abu Simbel. Every journey includes full board and expert Egyptologist guides at each temple.
Choose your Nile journey
- Merit Dahabiya, 4 days Aswan to Luxor: an intimate traditional sailing boat with only a few cabins, departing every Wednesday.
- Lake Nasser cruise on the MS Queen Tiyi, 5 days: remote Nubian temples such as Wadi El Seboua, Amada and Kalabsha, ending with Abu Simbel.
- Private VIP felucca journey: two days on your own felucca with a night on a private island under the stars.
- Egypt Sacred Walk, 10 days: a spiritual journey with meditation and a luxury Dahabiya cruise.
Dahabiya or cruise ship?
A Dahabiya is a traditional sailing houseboat with a calm, personal atmosphere and stops at quiet islands and villages. Large cruise ships offer more facilities but less privacy. A felucca is the simplest and most adventurous way to sail. Read our guide Egypt Nile Cruise Tours: Cruise Ship, Dahabiya or Felucca? to compare them.
The best time for a Nile cruise is October to April. Cabins on Dahabiyas are limited, so we recommend booking early.
