Religious & Spiritual Tours
Egypt is one of the oldest centers of Christianity and a land of deep spiritual meaning. Our religious and spiritual tours take you to Coptic churches built where the Holy Family is said to have rested, to some of the oldest monasteries in the world, and on a journey of meditation through the temples of ancient Egypt.
Our religious and spiritual tours
- Coptic Cairo and the Cave Church: the Hanging Church, Saints Sergius and Bacchus, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Coptic Museum, the Saint Simon Cave Church in Mokattam and the Virgin Mary's Tree.
- Wadi El Natrun Monasteries: a day trip to the desert monasteries founded in the 4th century, still home to Coptic monks today.
- Egypt Sacred Walk: a 10-day spiritual journey with meditation, yoga and sound healing at ancient temples and a luxury Dahabiya cruise on the Nile.
Respectful, meaningful visits
Our guides specialize in the religious history of Egypt and know the customs of each site. When visiting churches, monasteries and mosques, please wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees; women may be asked to cover their hair in some places. Monastery visiting hours can change during fasting periods and feasts, and we plan your day around them.
